Project Description
In my group at the Institute for Theoretical Biology (ITB) post-doctoral positions are available in theroretical Biology. Applicants should have profund knowledge in cell biology and experience in mathematical modeling. Our current projects are: Modeling of signal cascades and gene regulation (Collaboration with Christine Sers and Reinhard Schaefer), modeling of circadian rhythms (with Achim Kramer)and of Huntington Disease (with Erich Wanker). In all projects we analyze high throughput data as a prerequisite of model development.
Job Description
Modeling signaling cascades, gene regulation, cell cycle, circadian rhythms, Huntington chorea using high-throughput data such as DNA-chips or 2D-gels.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to participate in teaching (theoretical biology, nonlinear dynamics, data analysis) and in the supervision of students.
