Matthias E. Futschik
The post-genomic era is characterised by a rapidly increasing wealth of biological data.
My research aims to contribute to the integration of information from a variety of sources
and construction of complex models in molecular
biology and medicine.
Current pivotal points of my research are:
- Medical systems biology
- Mathematical modelling of molecular signalling during liver regeneration
- Construction of models for protein aggregation and pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases
- Protein networks
- Topological analysis of protein-interaction networks
- Analysis of interaction networks of proteins domains
- Gene expression analysis
- Development of methods to improve quality of microrray data
- Meta-analysis of time-series data
