Rowthorne Project (Martin Raiser, Mark Schaffer, Johannes Schuchhardt)

Investigations into the simplified stylized model of closed economical devellopment as proposed by Rowthorne et.al.

Parameters used throughout all simulations:
b = 1;
c=0.6;
alpha = 0.02
lambda = 1.5
epsilon = 0.005

Labour allocation in sectors agriculture La, industry Li, and service Ls are monitored as time dependent quantities for different initial productivity levels ya, yi, ys (Three simulations )

Simulations La, Li vs GDP log(Y)=log(Ya+Yi+Ys) (Synopsis of labour allocation )

The original single-economy model was expanded to include diffferent economies of leader-follower type. Follower economies are regarded as generally similar to the leader (same inital conditions) but starting to a later time (timeshift=50,100,150,200) and being weakly coupled to the leader by technical spill-overs.
