I am a PostDoc in the [[http://itb.biologie.hu-berlin.de/~kempter/Group/index.html|Theoretical Neuroscience Group]] of [[http://itb.biologie.hu-berlin.de/~kempter/|Richard Kempter]], where I did my PhD as well.\\


My work focuses on spikelets, small spike-like depolarizations frequently observed in hippocampal and neocortical pyramidal neurons //in vivo//.

Using computational modeling, I'm trying to shed light on the mechanism of spikelet generation in pyramidal neurons and to assess their role in neuronal information processing.
