Martina Michalikova

I am a PostDoc in the Theoretical Neuroscience Group of Richard Kempter, where I did my PhD as well.

My work focuses on spikelets, small spike-like depolarizations frequently observed in hippocampal and neocortical pyramidal neurons in vivo.

Using computational modeling, I'm trying to shed light on the mechanism of spikelet generation in pyramidal neurons and to assess their role in neuronal information processing.
